Unlike the majority of the aristocratic residences built on the island of Capri in the 1800's, Villa Le Scale has remained almost unaltered by the passage of time. The owner of the villa, one of Italy's best known antiquarians and interior designers, personally supervised the meticulous restoration work carried out on the edifice and selected the rare artworks which feature in both guest and public rooms from her own collection.

Art and travel are the themes which have inspired the interiors of Villa Le Scale's bedrooms, all of which home to invaluable antiques and unique pieces of period furniture. The careful integration of the latest in modern audiovisual and communication technology, in the form of LCD satellite televisions, DVD players, and high speed internet access, ensures that all of the contemporary traveller's needs are met. Designed so as to provide the perfect environment in which to relax and regenerate, each and every one of the villa's bathrooms functions as a veritable mini spa where, depending on the suite, guests find a Turkish bath, a plunge pool, duplex shower, or Jacuzzi.

A flight of old stone steps leads guests from the villa to the "terraced Garden", the air of which laced with the exquisite scent of Mediterranean flowers. Here, in this perfumed oasis of peace and tranquillity, visitors find the prefect place where to spend a few minutes or even hours reading a novel or simply meditating. Guest staying at Villa La Scale are granted the use of the property's attractive pool located in a sunny and particularly secluded area of the gardens, the fitness center, Jacuzzi and the Kneipp course.
