Villa La Serenella San Pietro in Cariano di Valpolicella
Villa La Serenella
Villa La Serenella is an elegant 16th century residence designed by Andrea Palladio; the eminent Italian architect whose response to the excesses of the high renaissance period and revaluation of the principals of classical architecture, was to provide the basis of modern architecture.
Villa La Serenella, originally Villa Acquistapace, is situated in the countryside immediately outside Verona. The property served for many years as the elegant residence of the area's influential Floriani family. An etching depicting the estate and dated 1744, indicates the villa as the Palazzo of S. Pietro in Cariano of Valpolicella and property of the Floriani. In 1871, with the death of Pietro Floriani Sbatacchia, the residence was inherited by members of the Ferrari family.
Today, Villa La Serenella has been transformed in historical residence; a truly unique venue where to enjoy a luxury vacation or host an exclusive event. The villa overlooks a large Italian garden complete with classical statues, liberty style guardian's lodge, and chapel. A sweeping avenue brings guests to the flight of steps leading up to the villa. Villa Serenella displays all the elements considered typical of the Palladian style. Expression of the great architect's love for classical proportion and symmetry can be found in the imposing four columned pronaos supporting the pediment upon which a centuries old family crest is still clearly visible.
A large lobby, an elegant salon with Pompeian style frescoes, a dining room and kitchen are located on the ground floor of the villa. On the first floor, there are five bedrooms each with private bathroom, and a living area. With their fine wooden ceilings and period furnishings, each and every one of the rooms in Villa Serenella, exudes an air of authentic old world elegance. Additional bedrooms are located on the second floor of the villa.
Immersed in the peace of the Veneto countryside, Villa La Serenella provides a magnificent setting for corporate events, business meetings, parties and receptions.
The villa is not available for partial rent.
