Castello di Lispida

Castello di Lispida is situated in the very heart of the Euganean Hills Natural Park and within easy driving distance of the cities of Padova and Venice.
The history of Lispida can be traced back as far as 1150 when it is cited in an edit of Pope Eugene the 3rd as property of the Augustine Monastic order.

Lispida was used as a monastery until the late 18th century, when the property was purchased by Earl Corinaldi, who built the present buildings on the foundations of the ancient monastery. The Corinaldi also added huge cellars for the production of what was to become some of Europe's finest wine.
The Castello di Lispida is part of a historic estate covering some 90 hectares of land, including a lake and hot springs which produce mud renowned for its therapeutic properties. Not far from the Castle there are several Spa and wellness establishments where to experience the benefits of the thermal water and mud.

Guests stay in beautiful apartments within the Castello and in the surrounding buildings. All apartments are decorated with rare items of antique furniture, period etchings and prints and are equipped with every modern comfort.
A fabulous modern swimming pool with hydromassage and jet-streams is located in the property's historical greenhouse which was built back in 1870.

Castello di Lispida houses a number of fabulous reception halls, suitable for high level functions. Five magnificent frescoed rooms, each carefully restored and adorned with antique furniture and carpets are situated on the ground floor and offer seating for a total of 140 guests.
The "Granaio" is the perfect choice for those wishing to conduct an important corporate convention or large scale business event. Three spacious halls, each with interesting architectural features such as wooden floors and exposed timber beamed ceilings, offer a total seating capacity of 500. An immense hall with barrel vaulted ceiling and wrought-iron features, and which once served as the refectory of the medieval monastery, has seating for 250 people.
"La Saletta del Camino", ideal for small informal meetings, is a delightful room featuring a bare-brick vaulted-ceiling dating back to the 16th century.
Il portico, paved with ancient stones and facing the inner garden can accommodate up to 110 people.
Centuries-old trees and the breath taking view on the surrounding country make the garden a splendid choice for summer events.
